Course overview:
Revenue authorities across the world are operating in an increasingly digital economy where taxpayers, businesses, financial institutions, and government agencies rely heavily on electronic systems to conduct transactions, maintain records, communicate, and transfer funds. As a result, critical evidence relating to tax evasion, customs fraud, VAT fraud, transfer pricing manipulation, money laundering, illicit financial flows, and other financial crimes is now predominantly created, stored, and transmitted in digital form.
Modern investigations no longer depend solely on paper documents and physical records. Investigators must be able to identify and handle evidence found in computers, laptops, mobile phones, cloud platforms, accounting software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, email servers, online banking platforms, mobile money systems, social media, e-commerce platforms, CCTV systems, and even blockchain networks. The improper handling of such evidence can lead to loss of critical information, contamination of evidence, legal challenges, and ultimately the failure of investigations and prosecutions.
The Handling Digital and Electronic Evidence for Revenue Authorities course has been designed to equip tax investigators, auditors, customs officers, intelligence officers, compliance personnel, prosecutors, and other enforcement professionals with the practical knowledge and skills required to manage electronic evidence effectively and lawfully. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework governing digital evidence, internationally accepted digital forensic principles, evidence preservation techniques, chain of custody management, and the procedures necessary to ensure that electronic evidence remains reliable, authentic, and admissible in administrative hearings and courts of law.

IN HOUSE AND ONLINE TRAINING
While both In-House and Online training can present with cost-effectiveness and time-efficacy, there are some very specific differences between in-house courses and those based online.
The demand for additional courses by individuals or groups of people is increasing. Still, it depends entirely on the preferences of a person what type of training he or she wants to receive. Online courses and in-house training carry some similarities but they are considered to exhibit some very pivotal differences too. Despite that, both types of learning can be really beneficial for attendees.
