Course Overview
As organizations increasingly rely on data for decision-making, the ability to efficiently extract, manage, and analyze large datasets is critical. This advanced course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills required to work with Oracle databases for effective data extraction, management, and analysis.
Using Structured Query Language (SQL) and PL/SQL, participants will learn advanced techniques to extract and manage tax-related data, including SARs (Self-Assessment Returns). The course also covers data security, performance tuning, and fraud detection techniques using Oracle’s powerful analytics tools.
Participants will gain practical experience in:
• Extracting VAT refund data and compliance reports
• Identifying tax evasion patterns using SQL queries
• Managing and securing financial data in Oracle
• Performance tuning for large dataset queries
Course Objectives
- By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Master Advanced SQL Queries – Extract and manipulate large datasets using advanced SQL and PL/SQL techniques.
2. Optimize Query Performance – Use indexing, query tuning, and partitioning to improve database efficiency.
3. Extract and Analyze SARs Data – Work with large financial datasets, generate compliance reports, and detect anomalies.
4. Ensure Data Security and Compliance – Implement access controls, audit trails, and encryption for tax-related data.
5. Use Oracle for Fraud Detection – Apply analytical SQL and machine learning techniques to detect fraudulent tax refund claims.
6. Automate Data Processing with PL/SQL – Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to streamline data management.
7. Integrate Oracle Data with BI Tools – Export and visualize extracted data using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.

IN HOUSE AND ONLINE TRAINING

While both In-House and Online training can present with cost-effectiveness and time-efficacy, there are some very specific differences between in-house courses and those based online.
The demand for additional courses by individuals or groups of people is increasing. Still, it depends entirely on the preferences of a person what type of training he or she wants to receive. Online courses and in-house training carry some similarities but they are considered to exhibit some very pivotal differences too. Despite that, both types of learning can be really beneficial for attendees.
